Stress balance inventory

Stress is not just what life demands of you; it is the ratio between those demands and what refills you. Eight questions sketch both sides of your scale for the last two weeks and suggest one small experiment for whichever side needs it. Answers stay on this device.

  1. 1.How full have your days felt over the last two weeks?
  2. 2.How often has worry followed you into moments that should be restful?
  3. 3.How loud have the body signals been: tense shoulders, clenched jaw, short fuse, restless sleep?
  4. 4.How much say do you feel you have over the things demanding your energy?
  5. 5.How much genuinely restful downtime made it into a normal day?
  6. 6.How much easy, warm time with other people have you had?
  7. 7.How often did you move your body in a way that felt good: a walk, a swim, a stretch?
  8. 8.How much room did things you actually enjoy get: hobbies, music, reading, faith, nature?
